Scalloped Potatoes

6 large potatoes
flour
butter
salt and pepper
milk
grated cheese
Peel 6 large potatoes. Slice thinly and place in layers in a buttered 2-quart baking dish. Cover each layer with a sprinkle of flour, dot with butter, and season with salt and pepper. Fill dish with milk up to top layer of potatoes and sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake slowly until tender at 350°F for about 1 1/4 hours.
