Delicious Beef Crumble

1 tbsp Canola oil
1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 tbsp flour
1 cup beef broth
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp mixed herbs
6 fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 cup flour
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
Heat oil in skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and onion, stirring occasionally for 6 minutes or until no longer pink. Stir in flour. Add broth, stirring until mixture boils. Stir in tomato paste and herbs until blended. Add mushrooms. Turn into shallow casserole dish. In bowl, rub together flour and butter to resemble fine crumbs. Stir in cheese, salt and pepper. Sprinkle over meat base. Bake in 375°F oven for 45 - 60 minutes, or until golden brown.
