Chili Relleno Casserole

1 1/2 lb ground pork
1 small onion, chopped (optional)
2/3 cup chunky salsa
3/4 cup milk
4 eggs
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
2 cups Monterey Jack cheese, grated
1/2 bottle chili peppers (or Jalepeno peppers)
Brown pork until crumbly and well done. Add onions; drain fat. Add salsa and cook until thick (few minutes). In a separate bowl, beat together milk, eggs, flour, pepper and garlic. Stir in cheese. Lightly grease an 8" x 8" dish or large quiche dish. Spread peppers on bottom; layer pork mixture, then egg mixture. Bake, uncovered, at 350°F for 35 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
