Bakeapple Crumbles

1 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/8 tsp salt
1 cup brown sugar
2 cups rolled oats
1 cup margarine
1 1/2 - 2 cups bakeapple jam
Grease an 8-inch square pan. Rub margarine into dry ingredients with fingers. Press 1/2 of mixture into prepared pan. Spread with 1 1/2 cups to 2 cups bakeapple jam or fresh bakeapples. (Note, if using fresh bakeapples, use 2 cups berries mixed with 3/4 cup sugar and 1 tsp tapioca). Cover berry mixture with remaining crumbs. Pat smooth. Bake at 350°F for 1/2 hour or until brown. Cool. Cut in squares.
