Chinese Vegetables

1/4 head cabbage (shred)
2 carrots (shred)
1 onion (shred)
1.5 sticks celery
1 tsp sugar
2 beef cubes
1/2 tin mushrooms
Sprinkle garlic powder
Dash salt
1/2 green pepper
2 or 3 drops soya sauce
Melt 2 teaspoons shortening, then fry out carrot, onions and cabbage. Dissolve beef cubes in hot water. Put in celery, mushrooms, green pepper, etc., then beef cubes, and thicken with cornstarch.
