Cheese Biscuits

2 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
3 tbsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter
1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
2 tbsp dry parsley
1 1/4 cup milk
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Cut in butter, until it's the size of green peas. Mix in cheese and parsley. Add milk, and mix until incorporated enough to form soft dough (this mixture will not be a smooth, cohesive mass, but it should be evenly wetted). Roll to 1/4" thickness and cut out 2"-3" rounds. Bake for 20-30 minutes, until puffed, golden brown and cooked through. Cool completely. Yield: 2 dozen.
