1 can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
1 can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
Zest from 1 orange
Zest from 1 lemon
1 (26 oz) bottle vodka
Frozen blueberries
Sprite / 7-UP
Simple syrup
1 3/4 cups sugar
7 cups water
3 cans crushed pineapple
To make the simple syrup, mix together sugar and water, and bring to a boil. Allow it to boil for 5 minutes, then set aside to cool completely. Then, in a high-powered blender, liquefy the crushed pineapple (including the juice). In a large bowl, mix together the orange juice, lemonade, pineapple, zests, syrup and vodka. Divide between two small beef buckets and freeze overnight. To serve, scoop a hearty portion of the slush into a large highball glass, add a few frozen blueberries and top with your favourite clear soda such as Sprite/7-UP. Yield: approx. 2 small beef buckets.
