Moose Chili

Total Time: Under an hour

5 lbs moose meat, ground
1 cup carrot, small dice
1 cup celery, small dice
2 cups onion, small dice
2 tbsp chili powder
1 1/2 tbsp cumin
2 tsp cayenne
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp fresh garlic, minced
2 tsp smoked paprika
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup red wine
1 can chickpeas, drained
1 can diced tomatoes
1 small can tomato paste
1/2 cup cornmeal
Mix everything together thoroughly. Place all ingredients in the slow cooker and set to “low” for 8 hours. Yield: 6-8 servings
