Baked Cod Tongues

1 lb cod tongues
cracker crumbs
2 small onions, sliced
1â2 tsp salt
pinch pepper
1 tsp savoury
3 tbsp butter
milk to cover
Wash and dry cod tongues. Put layer of tongues in a buttered 8-inch casserole dish; cover with cracker crumbs, sliced onions, salt, pepper, savoury and dabs of butter. Add another layer of tongues and continue alternating layers until all are used. Top with a layer of crumbs and add remaining butter, then cover with milk. Bake at 350 �F for about 70 min.
